Well Christmas is over and I got a stack of stuff. Sarah bought me a kick ass Fender guitar shirt, pj pants that have guitars on them, I got a few DVDs, some computer games, and a boat motor to use when we go fishing this summer. I also got a chance to upload some of the new photos I took. The Christmas gallery is up and the Thanksgiving Gallery is up too! The Mitchell Dunes photos are going up tonight so check back later

“we are the people our parents warned us about.” – Jimmy Buffet

I haven’t posted for well over a month. Primarily just because I have been lazy. Since I have some time off this weekend from work, be sure to check my gallery for lots of new photos. My trip to Gurnee and the Milwaukee Zoo will be up and so will my trip to the Wisconsin Dells.
If you’re wondering why I am up so flaming late or early depending on who you are, it’s because I have developed insomnia. Who the hell knows what brought it on but it is drivin me bonkers, I don’t sleep at night and I am up most of the damned day. Seeing as how I have an aversion to taking pills it looks like I either have to deal with it and hope it ends or go see a doctor. I don’t go to doctors unless I have some life or limb threatening condition so it looks like I have to wait and see if it ends.
Work is pissing me off…I used to like my job, somewhat. If anyone in the Chicagoland area is in the IT field and is hiring shoot me an e-mail. Normally I wouldn’t whore myself out on the internet like this but it doesn’t hurt.

Oh bloody hell was my weekend sick. For the last month I have been waiting to go pick up my custom made hood from my buddy Rob in Port Huron, Michigan. After Will backed out of the trip Sarah and I drove 5 hrs, damn near to Canada. Once we got there I called Rob and put some gas in the truck while I waited for him to show up. After waiting about 20 minutes for him to get to our rendevous point my phone rings and he is on the other end telling me my hood is junk.
Rob proceeded to tell me that someone cut him off on the highway and the hood box slipped out of its ropes, fell out of the truck bed. Now, everything woulda been fine if the Chevy cargo van didnt ru the fucking thing over! On the plus side, the hood (built Ford tough) busted the fog lights and did some damage to the bumper. the guy pulled over and asked what was in the box. Rob replied, ” That was an 800 dollar custom hood, asshole!”. And then the miserable long ride back without my hood sucked ass too. Rob generously agreed to make me another one though and even meet me half way this time, which I greatly appreciate.
On a completely unrelated note, I saw a story on tv that says if you want to fight depression move to a sunnier part of the country. In theory that would work for me but I was born in the middle of a blizzard and have grown up in a grey and gloomy environment most of my life. I dont like sunshine and warm weather. I happen to like it when it is dark and rainy. I guess it just looks like I’m screwed again.
